Step 1 - Card Selection
You may pull a card on the live JWV show or have a card of your own that you’d like to grade. You can consult our Owner, Dalen, on whether it should be graded and he can proceed with “pre-grading”. Cards to consider grading include rookies, vintage cards or your PC, parallels, or hits.
Service 2 - Pre-Grading
For pre-grading, Dalen will evaluate the surface, corners, edges, and centering. He uses a digital microscope and a digital caliper to determine if the card is suitable for the condition for grading.
Step 4 - Cards Sent To Grading House
After the grading submission is prepared, Dalen will send the cards to the chosen grading house. Lead time can vary, FCG submissions take 30 days, and PSA takes 60-90 days. Not a quick process, but fruitful in the end.
Step 3 - Grading Submission
Once you’ve confirmed a card you’d like to grade, let Dalen know and purchase the grading submission you desire. The grading houses we currently use are FCG (Forensic Card Grading) and PSA. Dalen will approximately send out a grading submission order monthly for both grading houses.
